Booking information 

  • You can book workshops on the RBSA Gallery website.  

  • Bookings can also be made in person at the gallery or by phone. 

  • Call us on 0121 236 4353 during opening hours Tues-Sat 10.30am – 5pm. 

  • There is a discount for students, RBSA Friends, Members, Associates and Next Wave Associates

    • See the workshop page for the discount code and apply it in the checkout​

    • A valid student ID must be provided to receive a student discount. 

  • Payment in full is required at the time of booking to secure a place. 

  • Payments can be made by card or PayPal online, by card over the phone, and by cash/card at the Gallery.  

  • Places are limited to 8 people per workshop unless stated otherwise. Allocation will take place on a first come, first-served basis. 

  • Please inform the RBSA Gallery when booking of any health conditions or additional needs as some workshops might not be suitable (e.g. wheelchair user, have an assistance dog, require lift access, require large print versions of any handouts etc.) 

  • The RBSA Gallery reserves the right to withdraw workshops. In this eventuality, workshop attendees will be notified and fully refunded for the cost of their workshop. RBSA is unable to refund additional expenses, such as travel and accommodation.  

   

Booking Terms, Conditions and Refund Policies 

  • If you, the customer cancels your booked workshop 14 days before the workshop date, you are eligible for a full refund.  

  • If you, the customer cancels your booked workshop less than 14 days before the workshop date, you are eligible to an RBSA gift voucher for the total amount of the workshop. This gift voucher is valid for 12 months and can be spent on another workshop, to purchase artwork from exhibitions or in the Gallery shop.  

 

COVID-19 Health and Safety Measures  

  • Those attending the workshop must wear a mask upon arrival. When you are seated at your workstation, masks may be removed, however please ensure to wear a face covering when moving around the room or leaving the session. 

  • There will be social distancing in place for all courses. Our courses are running at a reduced capacity to accommodate social distancing measures. Furniture and equipment will be positioned to account for social distancing and must not be moved. 

  • Workshop attendees should dispose of any waste or rubbish upon leaving the class and take all personal belongings home with them following the session.  

 

COVID-19 Refund Policy 

  • If the RBSA Gallery is required to cancel a workshop due to a change in government restrictions, a full refund will be given to anyone who has booked. 

  • If you, the customer cancels your booked workshop less than 14 days before the workshop date due to COVID-19 symptoms, you are eligible to an RBSA gift voucher for the total amount of the workshop. This gift voucher is valid for 12 months and can be spent on another workshop, to purchase artwork from exhibitions or in the Gallery shop.  

Planning your visit  

  • The workshop will take place in the RBSA Gallery, floor 1. The space will be closed to visitors and will only be used by workshop attendees. However, staff and volunteers will need to walk through the space at various points in the day to access the staff office, which is located on the same floor.  

  • Attendees can leave their materials in the workshop space during their breaks, but the RBSA will not be responsible for any loss or damages. 

  • Please bring a packed lunch. Alternatively, there are several cafés and sandwich shops within walking distance of the Gallery.  

  • Bring an old shirt or apron to help protect your clothing. 

  • The continuous redevelopment work in the city center has caused increased traffic, delays, and diversions in and around the City Centre. Therefore, please allow yourself plenty of travel time, plan your route, and check your parking arrangements. 

  • If you are travelling by car, please ensure your car is clean air zone compliant, or charges may occur.

Continual Professional Development (CPD) and Copyright 

  • We welcome bookings from people attending for Continual Professional Development (CPD). However, our workshops are not designed as CPD. If your employer is paying for the course or you require more details about what you expect from the course, please contact the Gallery in advance before booking.  

  • The workshop content and any information provided (e.g. handouts, guidance notes, etc.) are the intellectual property of the artist delivering the workshop. They should not be used or reproduced without permission from the artist (e.g. copying handouts to use in any classes workshop attendees might deliver themselves afterwards). ​
