Opening Hours

The RBSA Gallery is open. Visit us Tuesday – Saturday.

Opening hours are 10.30am – 5.00pm.

We are located a few minutes walk away from St Paul’s Square.

Accessibility

The RBSA Gallery in Birmingham aims to provide an accessible experience for everyone to enjoy the gallery.

There is wheelchair access throughout the building, a lift to all three floors and an accessible toilet.

Blue-badge-holders can park directly outside the Gallery entrance, provided they show their badge clearly in the windscreen.

How to get here

Bus

The 101 bus runs from Birmingham City Centre down Newhall Street. For timetables and bus stops, please check National Express West Midlands.

Train and Metro

The RBSA Gallery is in walking distance from Snow Hill and Birmingham New Street train stations, and St Paul’s metro stop.

Car

Use any of the approach routes to Birmingham (M5, M6, M40, M42, A34, A38, A41, A456, A457) and follow signs to the city centre.

Clean Air Zone

Parking

The RBSA Gallery does not have its own dedicated parking spaces. Below is some parking information for you to plan your visit.

Parking discount

Use the code RBSA10 to receive a discount when booking Jewellery Quarter parking online with Your Parking Space.

Parking locations

  • Parking is free after 6.00pm and all day on Sundays
  • Meter parking is available in some areas of St Paul’s Square and in some of the surrounding streets. These allow parking for up to four hours. Please note: Some areas are for local residents and permit holders only
  • There is a multi-storey car park NCP opposite the Gallery, on the corner of Newhall Street and Brook Street, accessed via Newhall Street or St Paul’s Square. This is a pay-on-exit car park, it can be cheaper if you book in advance from the NCP website
  • There is a pay-and-display car park on Northwood Street (a 3 min walk)

Disabled access

Blue badge holders can park directly outside the RBSA Gallery as long as their badge is displayed clearly in the window screen. Please note: There is a time limit.

Deliveries/Collections

For deliveries and collections of large artworks, a loading sign can be requested to unload or load. Loading signs must be arranged with the Gallery in advance and are subject to availability.
