After attending Birmingham School of Jewellery, Susie Andrews set up her own workshop where she mainly works with precious metals, glass and found objects.
Susie Andrews’ jewellery is inspired by her love of the outdoors. Studying marine biology and a former job in cellular pathology have inspired
both forms and textures.
Material and processes
Sterling silver is Susie’s main material and she often incorporates stones, ceramics, sea glass and gold leaf. When including glass, Susie uses Italian Effetre glass and silver glass to create beads and cabochons.
Susie makes silver findings such as headpins or ring shanks, designing them to complement the glass and at the same time ensuring the silver component is unique.
