The Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (RBSA) is an artist-led charity which supports artists and promotes engagement with the visual arts through a range of exhibitions, events and workshops.
Like many venues across the country, we have been impacted by closure during Covid-19. We are very grateful for the support we have received to help us to continue.
What you can do to help
Here are a few ways that you can get involved with the local art community, and support the RBSA and artists.
Become an RBSA Friend
Become a Friend of the RBSA if you are an artist or supporter who wants to be a part of the arts community in Birmingham. Your subscription helps the RBSA to continue bringing art to people even when the gallery is closed. ⠀ ⠀ As a Friend of the RBSA, you gain free entry to the upcoming Friends Exhibition and the RBSA Open exhibition. In addition, you will receive discounts and exclusive event invitations when the programme continues.
Buy an artwork
Current exhibition: Remote Access
Support artists directly by purchasing an artwork that you connect with from our current exhibition. You can also commission a unique piece from an RBSA Member.
RBSA will arrange delivery with artists individually.
Adopt an Artwork
An initiative that sparks interest with art historians and enthusiasts alike, the RBSA Adopt an Artwork project helps restore artworks in need of conservation.
Bring an artwork from the RBSA Archive back to life.⠀
Gift vouchers make ideal gifts for your creative loved ones during lockdown. Valid for 12 months, they can be redeemed for current artwork, Friends Subscriptions or used to purchase craft from the RBSA Gallery shop when it reopens.
