The RBSA is devoting a week of summer workshops to digital skills for artists. It’s important to know how to promote yourself and your work online…
Creative Content for Your Blog or Website
If you want to sell more art, grow followers on social media and increase visits to your website, join digital writer Louise Palfreyman for our workshop Creative Content for Your Blog or Website. You will learn tips and tricks on how to keep your website fresh and interesting.
Louise says, ‘Managing your website and social media is not as hard as you think… it takes a bit of time management and some thought as to who you are selling to, if you sell your art online, and who you are trying to talk to on social media.
‘Once you’ve identified your audience, you can plan your online activity accordingly. My workshop will show you how to fit in these tasks so they don’t disturb your creative output!.’
Zarina Keyani is offering two workshops aimed at improving the quality of images at your website, and optimising your website. She writes…
How many times has an artist been unable to share their work at a crucial moment which may have led to an exhibition, collaboration or a sale, because they did not have a good online presence?
The way forward if you want to promote your work is to be online, and artist imagery is expected to be the best. There is no point putting out images that are not up to spec.
In the Improving Your Images workshop, you will learn all the skills needed to best represent your work digitally, using free downloadable programmes.
Once your digital skills are top notch, you will need an online portfolio website. Art lovers will be able to find you online and you can show your work to anyone anywhere.
In the Get Your Artwork Online and Looking Great workshop, you will set up and maintain a beautiful, aesthetically pleasing website. You will also set up and manage social media platforms and art outlets. All this with minimum effort on your part but with maximum exposure of your work, helping you gain global recognition!
Costs for all three digital workshops have been kept low to encourage young and emerging artists to participate. But the content is equally suited to more experienced artists who may need some new tuition in the latest web skills.
