Come in from the cold and enjoy a relaxed Christmas shopping experience at the RBSA. With the revival of interest in handmade decorations and accessories, our craft exhibition is a brilliant place to pick up some highly desirable gifts.

This blog post will help you out with some ideas for stocking fillers or a Secret Santa, in the under £20 range.

We have a variety of beautiful decorations, Christmas cards and prints, stationery, textiles, and jewellery; all on our ground floor (where our café is also conveniently located!) so you can pop inside for some stress-free shopping.

It’s the season to sparkle and we have an array of stunning jewellery, great for all occasions, displayed in our celestial-themed Stellar exhibition. Browse earrings, bracelets, rings and necklaces in a variety of precious metals and stones – with prices as low as £15!

Featured items include Rachel Whitehead’s beautiful pieces inspired by the flora and fauna of the Great British summertime, in sterling silver and vermeil.

The delicate nature-inspired jewellery of Florence Sturt Joy is created using a distinctive blend of traditional metal-smithing techniques and newer design technologies. Come and browse these pieces, and more!

Homemade apparel is particularly in at the moment, so be sure to check out Claire Armitage’s whimsical textile accessories. From £12.50, these are perfect gifts for the literary or nature lover!

Also look out for handcrafted ceramics  by Timea Sio, adorned with distinctive ‘tangled’ patterns, also from £12.50. These stylish and festive ornaments, including tea light holders and hanging decorations, are great for brightening up the home during the winter months.

Stand out from the crowd and impress your family and friends with our unique Christmas cards, featuring original artwork by Birmingham-based illustrator Karoline Rerrie, from just £2.50. Also available by Rerrie are affordable screen prints in a folk-art style, from £10-£30. The prints are in standard sizesso they can be easily framed.

If you need something for a younger audience, we also sell items for children, including Jan Bowman’s fun and educative illustrated history ‘This is Birmingham: A Glimpse of the City’s Secret Treasures’ (£9.99).

We’re also selling new stationery items, including a notepad(£4) and sketchbook (£7) both with cover art from notable early RBSA artists; a great way to celebrate the impressive art heritage of Birmingham. These are in travel sizes, making them very suitable for students.
