You can find some of the best contemporary art around on sale at our annual Members and Associates exhibition, which runs until 23 December.
The RBSA is the place to go for Christmas gifts with that thoughtful touch: contemporary paintings, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, jewellery, crafts and much more…
All our exhibitions are free to enter and gallery staff will be happy to help, should you wish to make a purchase. You can make an enquiry about a work at our front desk.
Art by Joanne Powell, on sale at the M&A exhibition
We recommend viewing in person before making a purchase, but you can preview exhibitions online at our Flickr page.
Viewing ahead of a visit means you can get an idea of works you may be interested in purchasing, and then find out more when you visit the gallery, which is just off St Paul’s Square in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
We can advise on anything from how to display works at home, to framing, to commissioning a new work by one of our artists.
Remember, top art historian and collector Clive Beardsmore said of the Birmingham art scene: ‘It’s worth remembering that any work purchased in Birmingham is about half the price of a similar work in London, where people don’t seem to think twice.
‘So if you buy art in Birmingham, you’re getting a real bargain.’
Here’s what some recent art collectors told us:
‘Loved the show. Really happy with our purchase, which is the start of our Christmas shopping. It’s nice to get things when you see them to make sure you’ve got something they’ll really love and enjoy’‘I know the artist’s work and saw this piece on your Flickr album. I fell in love with it, came to see it, loved it even more in the flesh, and simply had to have it!’
How to Buy
We take a deposit or full payment at the gallery, and you can arrange to collect your work once the exhibition is over. If you can’t make it to an exhibition, call us on 0121 236 4353 or email firstname.lastname@example.org

You can also talk to the gallery about commissioning art. You may like the style of an artist, but have your own ideas.
Our Own Art scheme makes the process affordable through an interest free loan: artwork valued at over £100 can be paid for in ten instalments.
Why not visit the RBSA soon and spend some time at our Members and Associates exhibition? You never know what you may find for that someone special… visit before the 23 December.
