Andrew Tromans is a painter and print maker working in the industrial West Midlands and rural central France. Much of his influence is drawn from his surroundings in these areas which sees the subjects move between grimy blacksmith shops, factories and canals to sun drenched fields of sunflowers, trees and sweetcorn.
Andrew’s recent printmaking has centered upon relief Lino work, Japanese woodcut and dry point. His painting revolves around enjoying creamy oils and exploring mark making.
Andrew is an Associate of RBSA and a Member of Dudley Art Society and Birmingham Art Circle. He has exhibited regularly with the RBSA through the RBSA Open and Prize exhibitions.
