Malcolm Brookes RBSA

Relating to Still Life

5 October - 13 November 2021

About the exhibition

Malcolm Brookes is a figurative painter, who is mindful of the underlying abstract principles of pictorial composition. He works mostly in oils, gouache and pastels for exhibiting purposes but beyond exhibition pictures he fills drawing books with pen and also crayon drawings - his personal visual diary.

Subject matter is usually taken from things or places which he knows well and includes the genres of landscape/seascape/townscape and architecture, figure, and still life, the latter loosely being the theme of the present exhibition.

You can also see this exhibition in person at the RBSA Gallery.
