About this exhibition

The RBSA stages an annual ‘Prize’ exhibition as part of its
charitable work to support artists, providing an opportunity for
a wide variety of artists to show their artwork and be rewarded
for their talents. Artworks from a range of media - such as
jewellery, ceramics, textiles, drawing, painting, and printmaking -
are all welcome.

To help reduce some of the common barriers to exhibiting -
such as limited budgets and time to make work - work
exhibited at the RBSA in the last 5 years may be entered
and artists aged 35 and under receive a 50% discount on
entry fees.

The majority of artworks on display will be for sale. Don't miss Ann Hackett's demonstration on Saturday 9 June and Gabrielle Roberts-Dalton's demonstration on Saturday 23 June.

Selection

The list of artworks selected for exhibition is now available to download from the upper-right corner of this page.

Selection was by digital image of the original artwork only. All artworks entered went through the same selection process. The selection was based on the assessment of thequality and interest of each work. This year’s exhibition was selected by Zoë Lippett, Exhibitions and Artists’ ProjectsCurator at The New Art Gallery Walsall.

The prizes will be selected by Zoë Lippett or, where applicable,
the prize donor. All prizes will be awarded at the exhibition
Closing Party on Friday 22 June, 6 - 8pm. The Closing Party
Speaker will be Paul Anderson, Managing Director, Deutsche
Bank Birmingham
.
