Over 20 years of providing a valuable resource to the community of Birmingham based artists via teaching/lecturing/workshops/artist in residencies etc. Exhibitions include: National Portrait Gallery, R.A., V & A Museum, Mall Gallery, with many publications and prizes e.g. 'Not the Turner Prize 2004', RBSA Prize Show (2004 & 1996),Open drawing (2002 & 1995,) Open oils(1996), Members & Associates (2004 & 2003.) Ongoing themes include: homage to home & family via portraits and "glory of the garden" window views; building upon & extending life room tradition; self-portraits combined with an artist's lay figure, meaningful fantasy, the "journey of life", presenting an otherwise hidden history of an artist's struggle to carry on despite everything.
