Born 1910 1926-31: professional training, Leeds College of Art 1935: exhibited with society of wood engravers, Redfern Gallery London as well as local galleries 1955 exhibited paintings New English Art Club 1958 exhibited Royal Academy 1960 Mural, Birmingham Register Office, marriage room 1969 Awarded (Leeds) Gold Medal for painting 1972 Post office “Savings” promotion 2000 book of engravings “Before the War and long ago” published by Old Stile Press, Llandogo 2000 One woman exhibition “One Point of View” RBSA. Exhibited regularly with RBSA, in public and private collections. Leeds, Wakefield and Harrogate Art Galleries and University of Birmingham. Painted from drawings made in Scotland of yachts at evening see not far from Dundee. The occasion was festive, a small regatta as festoons of light on the pier and coastline indicate.
