Tony Sawbridge

Tony trained under Fleetwood Walker at Birmingham. He has held senior posts in secondary schools, Chief Examiner in Art, Arts Council Lecturer and Course Director at the Birmingham and Midland institute. Tony held the position of President in 1987, a post he held for five years. He was elected as an Associate of the RBSA in 1957 and as a Member in 1964. His work has been on exhibition in galleries throughout England and abroad, but he is mainly known as a midland painter whose works are included in public and private collections. Work commissioned by BBC and other public bodies. He works mainly in acrylics being interested in the interaction between people and their environment. Tony does not accept commissions.
