Carol Hill

Carol Hill

Carol started painting in the 60's when she lived in the Far East. She has had many tutors over the years, and paints in both watercolours and in oils. She is a fully trained Adult Education Teacher and travels around the country giving demonstrations and workshops. She paints from her studio at home and enjoys walking in the Peak District and traveling the world to keep her inspiration levels topped up! Carol loves the subtleties of watercolour and tries to capture the atmosphere in the first instance. A member of the Society of Women Artists, Carol mainly paints landscape and seascape but likes to have a change now and again to paint flowers or still-life. She has exhibited at the Westminster Galleries in London, the Mall Galleries and has demonstrated watercolour at the Mall Galleries for the SWA. Her paintings are exhibited in the Little London Gallery in Holloway, Derbyshire. She was elected as an associate of the RBSA in 2007, and as a member in 2008. Carol does take commissions, with prices ranging from £500 - £5000, dependant on medium (watercolours or oils), size, distance and complexity.
