Graham Winteringham

Graham Winteringham

Graham’s training in architecture at Leicester was interrupted by the Second World War when he entered into the Royal Navy. In 1946, he recommenced his studies at the Birmingham School of Architecture where he stayed on to become a Senior Lecturer. He was a partner at a leading Architecture firm in Birmingham until his retirement in 1990. He now has greater opportunity to paint and has exhibited widely including at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Graham continues to sail regularly in a small gaff-rigged boat off the coast of Pembrokeshire. Graham relishes the challenge of painting the sea and the elements which control it: wind and sun.
