Brian Steventon

Brian Steventon

Brian is a painter who was elected as an associate of the RBSA in 2004, and as a member in 2005. Brian works in acrylic, watercolour and oils either on site, painting directly in front of the subject or otherwise collecting information by sketching or taking photographs and producing works from the information in the studio. He is a responsive painter who expressively paints what he sees before him. The finished work is intended to then be an expression of his initial vision and his inspiration, be it landscape, street scenes, marine subject, still life or genre. Brian exhibits widely throughout the UK and his work is featured in Stephen Fry’s “Kingdom” series. He was included in the Who’s who in Art – 2010 edition and was appointed official artist at the Black Country Living Museum. His work is in numerous private collections within the EU & USA. Brian’s work sells from £250-£1900 for an unframed piece, and £300 to £2000 for framed pieces. His largest works measure up to 10” x 30” x 20”. Brian does not take commissions.
