Andrew Kinmont

Andrew graduated from University of Wales with a first-class honours Degree in Fine Art. He went on to receive further training from St Martins College London and West Dean College, Chichester. He exhibits work extensively, including regular selection for the Royal Institute of Oil Painters annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London. He was elected as an associate of the RBSA in 2014. Andrew’s main medium is paint. In reference to his inspiration, Andrew says, "I respond to my own sensory experience of landscape through direct gestural brush marks, which trigger the senses and resonate on a deeply emotive level. I hope these paintings act as vehicles for viewers to connect with places, experiences or memories deep in their subconscious, taking them on a journey of their own." Andrew does accept commissions. He paints landscapes, cityscapes or seascapes in oil or acrylic in his own original style. He can provide commissions framed or unframed, and they normally take a few weeks to complete, dependent on the subject matter. Prices start from £690 for a 30x30 unframed painting, and prices will increase accordingly.
