"As a Friend of the RBSA, I have worked regularly as a volunteer for a couple of years and over this time I have learned quite a lot and at the same time have enjoyed it immensely. The permanent staff are always friendly and most helpful. Jobs are very varied, according to what needs doing on the day. They can include preparing mailshots, photocopying and assembling exhibition brochures, helping on the reception desk, working in the cafe at busy times, giving information to visitors to the Gallery, helping with the monthly stock-take and even a trip to the post office or a bit of RBSA shopping. If one is computer literate that can be an added advantage, but it's not essential."
