Victor Kelly

Victor studied at Liverpool College of Art and Birmingham Teachers Training College.
He is a Past Vice President of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, an Academician of the Royal Cambrian Academy, Past President of Birmingham Watercolour Society, and President of the Easel Club.
Exhibitions; R.B.S.A. and R.C.A. Galleries. R.I. and R.W.A. Royal Marine Society, Manchester Academy of Fine Art, Chelsea Art Society, Llewellyn Alexander Gallery, London. Driffold Gallery, Chapter House Gloucester, Laing Exhibition London Finalist.
Work in private collections in the U.K. U.S.A, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, and Belgium.
Commissions have included Levermore Co and the B.B.C.
' My senses are stirred by places and moments that conjure a spirit of romance, adventure, and magic. A wild gale at sea, some discarded boat that has served its time, or a moving patch of light are the stimuli for my paintings. The painting process is both intuitive and intellectual and I strive to produce work based on great and permanent principles of drawing, composition and colour.'
