Margaret Clarke

My work has focused on portrait painting and still-life. My portraits are mainly done as commissions though I am currently involved with a series of portraits of women from different cultures and ethnic backgrounds. Commissioned work includes the Dyson Perrins Museum in Worcester and I have been a prizewinner in the National Portrait Gallery as well as the R.B.S.A. My still-life work features rich colour, strong drawing and a painterly technique.
