Jane Duppa-Miller

Inspired by the deeply rooted love of rural life, Jane Duppa-Miller's paintings demonstrate her ability to capture the mood of the moment. She is especially drawn to everyday farm animals, birds and landscapes of the North Cotswolds.

Jane works exclusively in pastels. Her skill at drawing suggests the essential features of stance, attitude and expression, which not only create a lively sense of movement, but also imbues her subjects with a deep psychological animation. Her compositions are frequently close up and cropped, like portraits that always concentrate on the true inner character.

Jane was elected an Associate member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists in 2005. She exhibits regularly with several Midland societies and has had paintings selected at the Mall Galleries in London, the Royal West of England Acadamies and others. She sells her work to collectors in France, America and at home.
