Graham Blaine

After studying at Birmingham College of Art in the 1950s, Graham worked as an Industrial Designer until his retirement in 2000, when he began to concentrate more upon his career as artist and illustrator.
Having taught evening classes for some 30 years, Graham continues to teach regularly at MAC. His work has been exhibited at such venues as the Mall galleries and the Royal Wet of England Academy, as well as the Royal Society of Marine Artists. He undertakes commissions and has produced works for several distinguished clients such as Allied Breweries, Cadbury-Schweppes and the Mayor of Solihull.

He works chiefly in watercolours, developing work in the studio from sketches and colour roughs done on location. Favourite subjects are boats and landscape.
