David Gordon

David Gordon was born in Jarrow in 1929, moved to East Anglia, then to Birmingham where he started exhibiting with the Friends of the RBSA.
He was elected an Associate in 1978 and a full member in 1983.
Originally interested in the urban scene, this changed to abstracted landscape, attempting a balance between abstract design and the integrity of the subject. The search for the
difference between a competent painting and a work of art goes on.
