The RBSA Gallery holds three Open exhibitions per year, and at least one annual Prize exhibition, with a grand prize of £1000. Each of these shows is open to submissions from members of the public. A maximum of three pieces of 2D work may be offered, and six pieces for 3D artists. These works are then put before a selection jury of variable size; a piece must garner the favour of over 50% of the jury to be accepted. A selection jury is composed of Members and Associates of the RBSA, with the exception of the Prize exhibition, which is independently judged.

The automatic exhibition rights of Members and Associates do not apply to the Prize exhibition.

In addition to these shows, two exhibitions per year are restricted to entry by Friends of the RBSA only. To join the Friends organisation, please follow the join us link at left.
