In answer to our recent pleas for help in raising funds for the Society, two of our Honorary Members have most generously donated works of art. The two paintings are 'Table and Embossed Chinese Screen by David Tindle, and Ken Howard's 'Rio San Marina Silver Afternoon' (See below).

David Tindle has advised us that he would expect a market price of £6,000 and Ken Howard a price of £2,000. As both of these artists are members of the Royal Academy, we felt this was an opportunity which we should offer to our Membership and Supporters first, and are therefore holding a sealed bid auction to sell the works. We would now like to invite sealed bids. The propser(s) of the highest bid above the reserve price, received before Monday 31 May 2008, will be the proud owner(s) of these two wonderful paintings.

To participate in the sealed bid auction please send us a letter including your contact details and the price you would like to offer for either or both of the paintings. Successful purchasers will be notfied during week beginning 31 May 2008.
